(Adnkronos) – At least 50 Malian soldiers and five Russian mercenaries from the Africa Corps were killed in a jihadist attack launched last week against a military base in Dioura in central Mali. Local security sources told AFP.
The attack, claimed by jihadists, is one of the bloodiest suffered by the Malian army since the beginning of the conflict that has ravaged the West African country for over a decade.
