(Adnkronos) – At least 129 people have been killed in clashes that since yesterday have again pitted the Houthi, whom Tehran has been accused of supporting for years, against Yemeni government forces, backed by Saudi Arabia. This is according to medical and military sources cited by the Afp agency. Among government forces, 66 casualties have been counted, a Yemeni official stated. The Houthi have lost at least 62 fighters, say medical and military sources. Among the 129 victims, there was also one civilian.

Satellite TV al-Jazeera, citing a Houthi source, instead reports a toll of over 100 dead among Houthi and government forces in clashes that occurred in the last 48 hours west of Taiz and south of Hodeidah.

Al-Arabiya, a Saudi-owned TV channel, speaks of civilian casualties due to a Houthi attack that targeted a restaurant in Mokha.
