(Adnkronos) – The bodies of four people from the same family, including two children aged six and nine, have been discovered in the commune of Gy, in Haute-Saône. An official source who requested anonymity reported this. The bodies were discovered last night on a plot of land hosting caravans and mobile homes, the source specified, confirming information from L’Est Républicain.
According to the French newspaper’s reconstruction, the other bodies could be those of the children’s father and their mother-in-law. One was found in a car, one in a white van, and the others in a mobile home. The man reportedly killed his relatives with a rifle before turning the weapon on himself.
A significant police presence was immediately deployed to the scene, including specialized criminal identification technicians, and a murder investigation has been launched to better understand the circumstances of the family tragedy.
