(Adnkronos) – Germany announces the closure of the Russian consulate in Bonn, the last Russian one in the country, and a Russian cultural center in Berlin. This was announced by the Foreign Ministry after German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt stated that “the government’s conclusion is that Russia is responsible for the hybrid attack in Leipzig on August 4” last year.

“I have ordered the following measures, in agreement with the Federal Chancellor (Friedrich Merz): the Russian Consulate General in Bonn will be closed on September 18. The contract for the ‘Russian House’ in Berlin will be terminated,” said the head of diplomacy, Johann Wadephul.
