(Adnkronos) – 15 people are reported missing following the flood that hit Grand Canyon National Park on August 29. The National Park Service announced this, adding that it is working with Arizona (USA) authorities to evacuate people and locate the missing. The agency had previously reported that it feared the disappearance of over 20 people.
Currently, no deaths or injuries have been reported. The park service informs that further thunderstorms and heavy rains are possible today, with the risk of “new flash floods, debris flows, rockfalls, and changes in trail and watercourse conditions.”
