(Adnkronos) – Clashes between settlers and Israeli security forces during the evacuation of an illegal outpost in Area B of the West Bank, which is under Palestinian civil control. According to the Times of Israel, the outpost had been set up near the Palestinian village of Deir Istiya, south of Nablus. In an attempt to prevent the evacuation, some settlers blocked the road and threw stones at the intervening security forces.
Four people suspected of being involved in the incidents were stopped and questioned. During the operation, the military also seized a tractor and some sheep present in the outpost. The evacuation was carried out based on an order signed by the head of the IDF Central Command, Major General Avi Bluth.
