(Adnkronos) – A drone attack hit a residential area in Mekelle, capital of Ethiopia’s Tigray region, Amanuel Assefa, vice-president of the Tigray People’s Liberation Front, which governs the northern region, told AFP. “Today there was a drone attack in the city. It hit a residential area… I don’t have details on casualties yet,” he said, amid rising tensions between the rebel group and the federal government.
