(Adnkronos) – A large number of people are reportedly trapped in Japan after the collapse of the second floor of an Aeon shopping center in the town of Kashima, Kumamoto Prefecture, following the 7.1 magnitude earthquake that struck the south of the country. This is what local officials report to the Japanese broadcaster Nhk. The TV channel, citing police sources, later reported that it was not possible to contact between 20 and 30 employees of the shopping center, while four people – all conscious – were transported from the shopping center to the hospital.
