(Adnkronos) – The record heatwave that hit France at the end of June caused a sharp increase in mortality in the Paris region. According to a report by Santé publique France, between June 22 and 28, approximately 3,000 deaths were recorded in Ile-de-France, “1,565 more than expected”, with a mortality rate more than double the norm.
