(Adnkronos) – At least 11 people have died and 19 others have been injured in a fire, still not extinguished, at an orphanage on the outskirts of Algiers. The Algerian civil protection announced this, without specifying the age of the victims. “Civil protection services are continuing operations to extinguish the fire that broke out at the Foundation for Assisted Children, located in the municipality of Mohammadia,” the agency said in a statement. “The provisional toll of human losses is 11 deaths.”
