Emirates, ‘2 of our oil tankers hit in Hormuz, one dead’

(Adnkronos) – Two Emirati oil tankers were hit by Iranian cruise missiles in the southern part of the Strait of Hormuz, in Omani territorial waters, causing the death of one Indian crew member and the injury of eight others, four of whom seriously. This was announced by the Ministry of Defense of Abu Dhabi, adding that fires broke out on both tankers, but they were brought under control.  

The United Arab Emirates condemned the attack, calling it a serious violation of international law, and stated that they reserve the full right to respond and take all necessary measures to protect their sovereignty and security.
