(Adnkronos) – According to regional authorities, Russian attacks in Ukraine have caused the death of at least nine people and the injury of 77 others in the last 24 hours. Russian forces carried out an airstrike on the village of Shabelkivka, in the Kramatorsk community, in the Donetsk oblast, destroying a house and killing two civilians, according to the Ukrainian State Emergency Service. Rescuers recovered the bodies of the victims after removing approximately two tons of rubble. The attack was part of a broader wave of Russian raids in the Donetsk oblast, where three civilians were killed, two in Shabelkivka and one in Druzhkivka, Governor Vadym Filashki stated. Another 10 people were injured as a result of 43 bombardments carried out by Russian forces on settlements in the region.
Russia launched 137 attack drones overnight, the Ukrainian air force stated. Ukrainian air defense intercepted 114 drones, while 18 drones hit targets in 16 different locations. Debris from intercepted drones fell in four other areas. In the southern Kherson region, three people were killed and another 34 injured, including three minors, Governor Oleksandr Prokudin stated. Russian forces damaged critical infrastructure, residential areas, 14 private homes, a mobile telecommunications tower, and a regular bus. In the Kharkiv oblast, one person was killed and another 11, including a child, were injured in Russian attacks targeting the city of Kharkiv and 10 other settlements, Governor Oleh Syniehubov stated.
In the southeastern Zaporizhzhia region, one person was killed and twelve others injured, according to Governor Ivan Fedorov. Russian forces conducted 1,038 raids against 49 settlements in the region in the last 24 hours. In the northeastern Sumy oblast, one person was killed and nine others injured, according to local authorities. Russian forces conducted over 30 attacks, targeting 24 settlements in 17 communities, with the most intense shelling recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, one person was injured after Russian forces attacked three districts almost ten times with drones, according to local authorities.
