South Korea, Supreme Court confirms 7-year prison sentence for former president Yoon

(Adnkronos) – The Supreme Court of South Korea has confirmed the seven-year prison sentence for former president Yoon Suk Yeol for facts related to his declaration of martial law in 2024 and its consequences. “All appeals are rejected,” a Supreme Court judge declared while issuing the televised ruling, thus confirming the sentence previously pronounced by an appeals court.
