Thailand Launches Scam Info Network Including Japan

Bangkok, July 3 (Jiji Press)–Thai police said Friday that they have begun operating the SHIELD international information-sharing network aimed at cracking down on special fraud groups, many of which have been based in Southeast Asia in recent years. The network consists of 11 countries including Japan and China. They will share information on scam suspects and past cases, as well as locational data on scam group bases. The network is available around the clock. The information-sharing system was developed through cooperation between Japanese and Thai police.
