(Adnkronos) – United States President Donald Trump earned 1.2 billion dollars last year from commercial activities in the cryptocurrency sector. According to the 927-page document published by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, Trump reportedly received nearly 550 million dollars in 2025 thanks to his ties with the startup World Liberty Financial, co-founded in September 2024 by Trump’s children and the son of Trump’s special envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff.
The documents also mention 635 million dollars in royalties received under a licensing agreement related to the $TRUMP cryptocurrency, launched a few hours before the president’s inauguration in January 2025. According to Forbes, the president’s activities in the cryptocurrency sector are the main reason for the almost tripling of his personal wealth, from 2.3 billion dollars to 6.5 billion dollars between 2024 and 2026.
