(Adnkronos) – At least 1,028 deaths were recorded in Spain in June due to the heatwave that affected numerous European countries, according to data published by the Carlos III Health Institute in Madrid. This is more than double the 407 heat-related deaths last year in the same month, which had been considered the hottest June, according to the National Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
