Iran, merchant ship hit in the Strait of Hormuz off Oman

(Adnkronos) – A merchant ship was damaged off the coast of Oman, in the Strait of Hormuz, after being hit by an unidentified projectile. This was announced by the British maritime agency UKMTO, specifying that no casualties were reported. 

“A merchant ship was hit on the starboard side by an unidentified projectile, causing damage to the bridge. The commander reported no casualties or environmental impact,” said UK Maritime Trade Operations. The ship was hit 7.5 nautical miles, or 14 kilometers, southeast of Dahit, Oman.
