Lebanese officials receive advanced training at Rome’s Tor Vergata University

(Adnkronos) – A group of Lebanese civil servants is undergoing advanced public procurement training at Tor Vergata University of Rome as part of international efforts to strengthen the crisis-hit Middle Eastern country’s public administration, the embassy wrote Monday on X. 

“Good governance starts with capable institutions and skilled public servants,” read the post. 

“Italy is proud to support the participation of Lebanese officials in advanced training on public procurement at the University of Rome Tor Vergata,” the post continued. 

“Also to contribute, together with the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), to strengthening public administration through cooperation with (Lebanon’s) Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform (OMSAR),” the post added. 

“Investing in people and institutions is investing in Lebanon’s future,” the post concluded.
