(Adnkronos) – Thirteen of Italy’s leading textile machinery makers are guests at a high-level workshop on Italian technologies on Monday and Tuesday in Ulaanbaatar which aims to help Mongolia’s textiles sector to innovate, highlights the Mongolian market’s strategic role for Italian technology providers and the stronger industrial cooperation being forged between the two countries, the embassy stated on Monday.
The Italian textile machinery industry is globally recognised as a premier benchmark for technology, innovation, and quality and Italian companies stand out for their ability to deliver flexible, versatile, and tailor-made solutions capable of swiftly adapting to market demands and creating high-value-added niches, the statement noted.
At the workshop, key institutional and industrial stakeholders will underline the importance of supporting the Mongolian textile sector in its transition towards premium-quality, highly efficient production. Italian cutting-edge technology is uniquely positioned to tangibly drive the country’s industrial modernization and sustainability goals, said the statement.

The technological partnership between the two nations is deeply rooted in Italy’s world-renowned excellence in processing cashmere and wool-raw materials of paramount strategic importance to the Mongolian economy. The Mongolian market has shown significant dynamism in recent years, reflecting a solid and expanding trend in bilateral commercial cooperation, according to market data compiled by ACIMIT, said the statement

The textile machinery technologies workshop is a follow-up to the successful business forum organised in Rome in December attended by Italy’s foreign minister Antonio Tajani and his Mongolian counterpart Battsetseg Batmunkh, the statement said.
