Tokyo, June 19 (Jiji Press)–Japan’s benchmark Nikkei 225 stock average advanced to hit yet another record intraday high just below 72,000 on Friday morning, with technology issues drawing buying on U.S. stocks’ overnight ascent amid easing concerns over the situation in the Middle East. At 9:06 a.m., the index of 225 selected issues listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange’s Prime section stood at 71,952.99, up 899.50 points, or 1.27 pct, from Thursday.
