(Adnkronos) – “We are evaluating proposals put forward by (UN) secretary-general (Antonio) Guterres. We believe it is crucial to build on the experience gained by strengthening existing structures, starting with the Military Technical Committee (MTC4L),” he said.
The multinational MTC4L led by Italy was set up in March 2024 on the initiative of the chief of defence staff after the 7 October 2023 attacks on Israel led by Islamist group Hamas, in which 1,200 people died and over 250 people were taken hostage, triggering Israel’s devastating war in Gaza.
