Foregin ministry looks to bolster internationalisation of Italian businesses, boost job creation, growth amid exports hike

(Adnkronos) – Italy’s government wants to further internationalise the country’s businesses and keep helping drive a surge in exports fuelled by non European Union markets, creating new prospects for companies, stronger growth and more jobs – at home and abroad – foreign minister Antonio Tajani said on Monday.

“Exports are growing by 8.8% on an annual basis, driven above all by non-EU markets, which are up 12%. These figures confirm the strength of Italian diplomacy in creating new opportunities for our companies,” Tajani wrote on X.

“We want to increasingly accompany our businesses in all priority markets for our exports, through Italy’s embassies and consulates,” Tajani continued.

“We are strengthening and promoting the internationalization of our production chains with the aim of achieving more growth and employment in Italy and its territories,” Tajani added.
