Afghanistan, 26 militants killed in raids on border areas

(Adnkronos) – Pakistani air raids have resulted in the death of 26 militants in border areas with Afghanistan. This was announced today by Islamabad authorities: “Following recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan… precise and targeted raids have been carried out along the border areas between Pakistan and Afghanistan, hitting hideouts and safe havens,” wrote Pakistani Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, adding that 26 militants linked to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) group were killed. The minister did not mention civilian casualties, while Afghan authorities stated that at least 12 people, including children, died as a result of the raids.
