Japan, Egypt Agree to Cooperate in Various Fields

Tokyo, June 3 (Jiji Press)–Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi and his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, agreed Wednesday to cooperate in various fields, including the economy. During their meeting in Tokyo, Motegi called for deeper discussions on collaboration toward peace and prosperity in the Middle East. The two ministers are scheduled to meet again at a working dinner on Thursday to discuss regional and international affairs, including the war in Iran. Motegi and Abdelatty on Wednesday signed a memorandum of cooperation to beef up the strategic partnership between Japan and Egypt.
