Fire in hotel in New Delhi, at least 21 dead and 40 injured

(Adnkronos) – At least 21 people have died due to a fire that broke out this morning in a hotel in New Delhi, India. Local police reported this, specifying that the causes of the blaze have not yet been ascertained. 

According to authorities, over 40 people were injured and transported to hospitals in the capital to receive medical care. The fire has since been extinguished by firefighters, but search operations continue inside the building to ascertain the possible presence of other victims.
