(Adnkronos) – Italy’s ambassador to the Holy See Francesco Di Nitto and the Vatican’s secretary for relations with states and international organizations Paul Gallagher, signed a bilateral accord on Thursday to build an innovative agrivoltaic system at Santa Maria di Galeria, 35 kilometres nortwest of Rome, the embassy wrote on X.
Di Nitto and Gallagher inked the agreement at Rome’s 16th-century Palazzo Borromeo in Rome’s northern Flaminio district, according to the post.
Agricvoltaic systems allow electricity generation and agricultural production on the same land.
