(Adnkronos) – Moscow’s Foreign Ministry has summoned the Czech Republic’s chargé d’affaires, Jan Ondrejka, the day after the arrest, by Prague authorities, of Metropolitan Hilarion, bishop of the Russian Orthodox Church, on charges of drug possession. Moscow’s Foreign Ministry expressed a “strong protest” against the detention of Bishop Hilarion, calling the accusations “absurd” and demanding his “immediate and unconditional release”.
