Japan, caustic substance sprayed in shopping mall, 20 injured in Tokyo

(Adnkronos) – Around 20 people were injured in a luxury shopping mall in central Tokyo after a man sprayed a caustic substance inside. Police and fire department officials reported this. Tokyo police spokesman Yusuke Koide told AFP that a man sprayed a substance at an ATM on the ground floor of the building, while a fire department official stated that “around 20 people were injured”. 

Public broadcaster NHK said the injuries appeared minor, while police have opened an investigation.
