(Adnkronos) – French authorities have lifted the quarantine for over 1,700 people on board the cruise ship anchored in Bordeaux, who were isolated after the death of a passenger and after more than 80 reported gastrointestinal symptoms likely due to a norovirus epidemic. Those who do not report any symptoms have been allowed to disembark from the “Ambition”, while those who are ill remain on board in isolation. Health authorities nevertheless report that the death of the 92-year-old Briton who suffered a heart attack on Tuesday night into Wednesday would not be linked to the norovirus.
