UK, very brief meeting between Streeting and Starmer at Downing Street

(Adnkronos) – The meeting at Downing Street between British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and his potential challenger, Health Secretary Wes Streeting, lasted 19 minutes. A meeting, comments the BBC, “very, very brief”, before which it had been leaked that there would be no statements, so as not to distract attention in any way from the event scheduled for this morning in the House of Lords, where King Charles will illustrate the government’s legislative agenda in the traditional speech on the occasion of the State Opening of Parliament.
