(Adnkronos) – The proposal Iran presented to the United States, which suggests ending the war and reopening the Strait of Hormuz, is “legitimate and generous.” This was stated by Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei, adding that Washington continues to support unreasonable and unilateral demands.
“Our demand is legitimate: we ask for an end to the war, the lifting of the blockade and piracy, as well as the unblocking of Iranian assets unjustly frozen in banks due to US pressure,” Baghaei said.
“Safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz and the guarantee of security in the region and in Lebanon were other Iranian demands, considered a generous and responsible offer for regional security,” Baghaei concluded.
