Hantavirus: Australia six former passengers quarantined in ‘ad hoc’ facility for at least three weeks

(Adnkronos) – Six former passengers of the cruise ship where an Hantavirus outbreak occurred – four Australians, one person with permanent residency in Australia, and one New Zealander – will be quarantined in Australia for at least three weeks, in a facility prepared for isolation north of Perth, the Bullsbrook center opened for the Covid pandemic, the government announced. Meanwhile, their repatriation from Tenerife is still underway, as part of a “complex” operation, Health Minister Mark Butler reported at a press conference. None of the six passengers have symptoms. They will land at a military base near the quarantine center, “where they will be immediately transferred”.
