(Adnkronos) – Iran is still examining the United States’ proposal to end the conflict and will announce its decision “once the evaluation is complete.” This was stated by Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei in an interview with Tasnim news agency.
Baghaei accused the United States of violating the ceasefire with the action carried out last night, calling it “a blatant violation of international law.” He then claimed that Iranian forces had inflicted “a heavy blow on the enemy,” repelling its attacks “with full force.”
The spokesman added that Iran is “formally in a ceasefire situation,” but that the armed forces remain on high alert. “They are closely monitoring the situation and will respond with full force to any aggression or adventurism,” he concluded.
