(Adnkronos) – British counter-terrorism police have arrested a nineteen-year-old in connection with an attempted arson attack on a synagogue in north London last month. This is the third arrest in the investigation, according to law enforcement. The man was arrested on suspicion of attempted arson and remains in custody, police said. The investigation relates to the attempted attack that occurred in the early hours of April 15 at a synagogue in Finchley, north London, in which no damage or injuries were reported.
A 38-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man were arrested on the day of the attack on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life. Both were subsequently released on bail pending a July hearing. Police state that the inquiry is being conducted by London’s counter-terrorism unit and is part of a broader series of investigations into recent arson attacks in the capital against Jewish targets.
