(Adnkronos) – Aligment on foreign policy is a focus of talks in Rome on Wednesday between premier Giorgia Meloni and her two deputies, foreign minister Antonio Tajani and transport minister Matteo Salvini.
The talks come ahead of a key meeting in Rome on Friday between Meloni and US secretary of state Marco Rubio aimed at repairing bilateral relations which have been strained by the US-Israel war against Iran and its impact on the global economy and security.
Also up for discussion between Meloni, Tajani and Salvini – who lead the three parties making up Italy’s rightwing coalition government – is the political balancing act of appointing of the new heads of Italy’s Anti-trust, and market watchdog Consob.
