(Adnkronos) – Alessandra Schiavo has begun her role as Italy’s envoy to Algeria, and her numerous previous postings include ambassador to Myanmar, according to a foreign ministry statement on Wednesday.
During a diplomatic career that has spanned over three decades, Schiavo has held posts at the European Union and in the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Schiavo has also worked in several of the foreign ministry’s directorates and served as advisor to the trade ministry.
