(Adnkronos) – Italy and Azerbaijan want to consolidate a strategic partnership of “long-term value” that is already crucial in terms of energy and security and other fields and which they want to transform into “concrete opportunities” for both countries, premier Giorgia Meloni stated on Tuesday.
“A trip to Baku to strengthen a strategic partnership that for Italy holds concrete and long-term value,” Meloni wrote on X after a visit to Azerbaijan on Monday.
“With Azerbaijan, we aim to consolidate cooperation that is already very important in the areas of energy, security, connectivity, investments, and political dialogue, increasingly transforming it into concrete opportunities for our nations,” the post continued.
“At a complex time like the current period we are living through, it is essential to hold on to things that are certain. And the relationship between Italy and Azerbaijan is one of these things,” Meloni concluded.
