(Adnkronos) – An inquiry launched in Australia following the antisemitic attack in Bondi Beach during the Hanukkah festival last December, in which 15 people lost their lives, revealed in a preliminary report that a Jewish organization in the country had warned the police of the risk of a terrorist attack shortly before the incident. “A terrorist attack against the Jewish community of New South Wales is a probable scenario and the level of antisemitic hate speech is high,” the Community Security Group (CSG) had written in an email published by the inquiry. The police responded at the time that they could not deploy dedicated officers permanently and instead proposed sending mobile patrols.
