Two Orthodox Jews were stabbed today, Wednesday, April 29, outside a synagogue in Golders Green, a northern suburb of London. This is reported by several Israeli media outlets such as the Times of Israel. According to Shomrim, the Jewish community’s security organization, volunteers intervened immediately, managing to stop and detain the suspect until the police arrived.
Officers – reports the BBC – then used a taser to immobilize the man, who was arrested. The victims are receiving medical care from the Hatzola relief organization. The area had already been the scene of tensions in recent weeks, when ambulances from Hatzola itself were set on fire near the site of today’s attack.
