(Adnkronos) – A 37-year-old man has been arrested by London’s counter-terrorism police in connection with attacks on Jewish places of worship in the British capital. Sky News reports this, citing the Metropolitan Police. The man was arrested at a property near Barnstaple, Devon, on suspicion of preparing acts of terrorism and has been taken to a London police station for questioning.
According to law enforcement, a total of 26 arrests have been made since late March in connection with a series of attacks against Jewish places of worship in northwest London. These include arson attacks against Jewish community ambulances in Golders Green, a synagogue, and the former offices of a Jewish charity. Eight people have been charged with arson-related offenses, and one person has been convicted of arson.
