Greece, earthquake of magnitude 5.8 off Crete

(Adnkronos) – A strong earthquake of magnitude 5.8 on the Richter scale was recorded today off the coast of the Greek island of Crete. This was reported by the American geological institute USGS. The tremor was detected at 6:18 local time, 5:18 Italian time, at a depth of 12 kilometers, about 11.5 kilometers southeast of the coastal city of Ierapetra. At present, no casualties or damage have been reported.
