(Adnkronos) – The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority has announced the gradual resumption of foreign airline operations through Hamad International Airport, marking the reopening of the country’s airspace to international carriers after extensive restrictions began on February 28.
Flights in the region had been suspended or diverted following tensions related to the war in Iran, which had led to the closure of several countries’ airspaces and the interruption of connections with Doha.
The Authority explained that the decision came after a “global assessment of the situation” to ensure full operability and safety. The reopening will be progressive and initially limited to certain airlines.
