(Adnkronos) – The White House is studying a series of punitive measures for some Atlantic Alliance countries that, according to Donald Trump, responded negatively to his requests for help within the framework of the unilateral military campaign he decided to launch against Iran, alone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, therefore not within a NATO framework, the Wall Street Journal reports, citing Administration sources after the American president had initially threatened the US withdrawal from NATO. Among the measures considered is the withdrawal of US forces from the countries to be reprimanded to transfer them to countries that have instead proven to be friends in these last five weeks of unilateral intervention. Yesterday, Alliance Secretary General Mark Rutte traveled to Washington to meet Trump.
