Ankara, slain assailant linked to ‘terrorist organization’

(Adnkronos) – The assailant killed in a shootout with Turkish police in front of the Israeli consulate in Istanbul was “linked to a terrorist organization”. The Interior Ministry announced this, identifying the victim as “Yunus E. S., linked to a terrorist organization that exploits religion”. The other two assailants, who were injured, are brothers and are currently being interrogated by the police, the ministry specified.
