(Adnkronos) – Donald Trump has proposed a budget for the Pentagon of 1500 billion dollars for 2027, a figure that represents a 42% increase, or 445 billion more, compared to the current budget, already considered colossal. According to what was announced today, the White House is asking Congress to approve for the next fiscal year, which will begin on October 1st, to approve 1100 billion in actual spending law and then to approve another 350 billion through the so-called reconciliation process.
In this way, the party with the majority can approve laws related to taxes and spending with a simple majority, thus circumventing the danger of being blocked by the opposition with a filibuster, unlimited obstructionism. The White House emphasizes that the 350 billion are “crucial for the administration’s priorities, particularly increased access to ammunition and the further expansion of the war industry”.
