(Adnkronos) – Russia is preparing to send a second oil tanker to Cuba, Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilyov announced on the occasion of the Energoprom-2026 Forum. “Yesterday there was an important meeting in St. Petersburg with a delegation from Havana. Cuba is under a total blockade. It has been isolated. Where did help come from? Russia broke the blockade. And now we are loading a second ship. We will not let Cuba remain suspended,” he declared. The tanker “Anatoly Kolodkin” with 100,000 tons of oil and humanitarian aid arrived in Cuba on March 30, the Russian Ministry of Transport had announced. After the US military operation against Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro in early January, Donald Trump signed a decree allowing the United States to impose tariffs on goods from countries that export oil to Cuba. The United States did not object to Russia sending oil to Havana.
