(Adnkronos) – Italy remains”close to” Ukraine’s government and people, foreign minister Antonio Tajani said Tuesday during a visit to the Kiev suburb of Bucha, where Russian forces slayed over 1,400 civilians and prisoners of war in March 2022 at the start of Moscow’s full-scale invasion of the country, according to its authorities.
”We are here to bear witness that Italy is close to Kiev,” Tajani said during the visit on the fourth anniversary of the Bucha killings, which took place during a 33-day occupation of the area by Russian forces.
