(Adnkronos) – Economic and trade cooperation and Ethiopia’s push to complete its long-running World Trade Organisation entry bid this year were at the centre of talks in Addis Ababa on Thursday between Italy’s foreign under-secretary Maria Tripodi and the African country’s deputy trade minister Abdulhakim Mulu.
“Fruitful meeting with the deputy trade and regional integration minister Abdulhakim Mulu, focus on exports, the main areas of Italy-Ethiopia economic and trade cooperation including the negotiations for Ethiopia’s accession to the WTO,” Tripodi wrote on X.
Tripodi took part on Wednesday in a conference in Addis Ababa on urban regeneration and infrastructure to present opportunities and support for Italian businesses looking to invest in projects in the rapidly developing African country.
