(Adnkronos) – Japan has begun releasing a portion of its oil reserves, amidst the crisis caused by the war against Iran, equivalent to 30 days of domestic demand. This was reported by the Kyodo agency, specifying that this is a response never before implemented at these levels.
The news follows reports from recent days about the unblocking of private sector reserves sufficient for 15 days. Japan, the agency recalls, depends on the Middle East for more than 90% of its crude oil imports.
