(Adnkronos) – The American president Donald Trump has chosen the controversial Australian-American influencer Nick Adams as “presidential special envoy for tourism, exceptionalism and American values”, a role that takes on particular importance in the year in which the United States will host the World Cup and celebrate the 250th anniversary of independence. Adams’ appointment comes after a reversal on his previous candidacy as ambassador to Malaysia. Self-proclaimed “Trump’s favorite author”, he announced his new role on X: “I will be the ambassador of brand America, bringing the message of American excellence to the world”, promising to be “a tireless spokesman for American greatness”.
Adams is known for his provocative style on social media, where he presents himself as an “alpha male” with often over-the-top tones. In one of his most discussed posts, he wrote about himself: “I go to Hooters. I eat rare steaks. I lift huge weights. I have the physique of a Greek god. I have an IQ over 180. I am sought after by many women.” The Hooters restaurant chain – famous for its waitresses in orange shorts and tight white t-shirts – is a recurring theme in his content.
The influencer is certainly not afraid of being controversial. Adams has called men “the most isolated and persecuted category in the world” and has attacked “woke” culture with peculiar interpretations: “It all starts with a controller to play Fortnite and boneless chicken wings, then you end up using gender pronouns and you arrive at communism.”
